VALR is the largest crypto exchange in South Africa by trade volume, with over 1.7 million registered users. In the last 12 months, VALR handled $9 billion in trading volume. As of early 2026, VALR serves over 1.7 million registered users and 2,000 corporate and institutional clients globally.

In 2024, VALR became one of the first crypto asset service providers in South Africa to receive both Category I and Category II licenses from the FSCA.
