Classification and account mode: the implication
Confirm both the access method and the margin setting. Retail order eligibility is not the same question as which assets count as collateral.
DN Decision Briefs / Evidence comparison
Compare order classification, usable collateral and settlement obligations. A USDC balance can have very different consequences for margin, debt and withdrawals.
What Matters
2 pinned documentation briefs compared by decision condition. Not a live execution test, security audit, exhaustive product inventory or individual eligibility assessment.
Paradex Retail/Pro order treatment and GRVT Single-Asset/Multi-Asset margin are different kinds of settings. This comparison preserves those distinctions and does not equate their accounts, networks or cost schedules.

| Decision factor | Paradex | GRVT |
|---|---|---|
| Classification and account mode | The guide classifies UI and interactive-JWT API submissions as Retail. Standard API submissions default to Pro; exceeding Retail limits changes treatment. Paradex Retail and Pro orders | The MAM guide supports USDT and USDC with collateral haircuts. Single-Asset Mode counts USDT only; enabled collateral and margin balance govern capacity. GRVT multi-asset margin guide |
| Usable collateral and debt | The collateral guide says non-USDC balances contribute to total account value but not free collateral, and USDC is required for perpetual markets. Paradex non-USDC balances and collateral | Perps settle in USDT. Under MAM, a USDT shortfall can trigger automatic borrowing against other collateral, with hourly interest and possible conversion fees. GRVT multi-asset margin guide |
| Fee conditions | The fee page lists zero Retail maker/taker trading fees and a separate Pro schedule. Pro perps/spot maker fees and volume-based taker fees apply. Paradex trading fees | The fee page contains dated schedules and separates spot from perps. Its March 2026 schedule uses 30-day trading-volume tiers and distinguishes maker rebates from taker charges. GRVT fee model |
| Balance and funding interpretation | The collateral guide says non-USDC balances contribute to total account value but not free collateral, and USDC is required for perpetual markets. Paradex non-USDC balances and collateral | The USDC deposit article describes automatic conversion to USDT through Rhino. The newer MAM guide separately describes USDC held as collateral. GRVT USDC deposit routeGRVT multi-asset margin guide |
| Withdrawal conditions | Risk checks constrain withdrawable USDC by free collateral and the account USDC balance. Margin-health checks govern liquidation eligibility. Paradex risk checks | The fee-model page lists network-specific flat amounts. The dedicated transfer-fee article describes Rhino routes as a platform charge plus bridge gas. GRVT fee modelGRVT deposit and withdrawal fees |
| Execution and liquidation limits | Retail orders have documented speed bumps and lower rate limits, with access to Retail Price Improvement liquidity and queue benefits. Pro orders follow different conditions. Paradex Retail and Pro orders | The MAM guide describes automatic conversion or full liquidation when margin requirements are breached. Open-order cancellation should not be assumed to rescue margin first. GRVT multi-asset margin guide |
| What remains unmeasured | This review does not establish individual eligibility, API permission safety or live withdrawal and stop-loss reliability. | This pinned snapshot provides no independent measurements of execution, withdrawal reliability or individual eligibility. |
Confirm both the access method and the margin setting. Retail order eligibility is not the same question as which assets count as collateral.
Total account value is not available margin. GRVT USDC collateral does not change USDT settlement; account debt may create additional costs.
Match product, order classification and fee tier. Zero commission or a maker rebate cannot establish an all-in cost advantage.
Check the resulting asset after a deposit or conversion. Holding a token, counting it as margin and settling a trade in it are distinct conditions.
Use the account-specific withdrawable amount and final route quote. Published balance rules and fee descriptions are not observed payout reliability.
Documented queue treatment and liquidation procedures describe different mechanisms. They do not provide a measured execution or safety ranking.
Current permissions, individual eligibility and independently observed fills and withdrawals remain unverified.
Evidence boundary
No numerical all-in cost is calculated. A valid comparison needs contemporaneous quotes for matching assets, product modes, notional sizes, directions and holding periods, with entry, holding and exit costs included.
