DN Decision Briefs / Platform evidence

GRVT

GRVT distinguishes single-asset and multi-asset margin. USDC collateral support does not change USDT settlement, and a shortfall can introduce borrowing costs.

What Matters

Check the margin mode before counting your collateral.

Provider-documentation review of GRVT perpetual trading. Not a live execution test, exhaustive product inventory, security audit or individual eligibility assessment.

Deposit currency, usable margin and settlement currency are separate questions. Confirm the actual account mode and funding route before relying on a general USDC-support statement.

Claims, sources and practical consequences.

Does holding USDC always provide margin?

The MAM guide supports USDT and USDC with collateral haircuts. Single-Asset Mode counts USDT only; enabled collateral and margin balance govern capacity.

Why it matters: Check your selected mode and usable margin rather than treating total equity as buying power.

Can a stablecoin balance still create a borrowing cost?

Perps settle in USDT. Under MAM, a USDT shortfall can trigger automatic borrowing against other collateral, with hourly interest and possible conversion fees.

Why it matters: Include debt and conversion costs alongside trading fees and funding. A positive overall balance does not rule out USDT debt.

Is the deposit route the same as collateral support?

The USDC deposit article describes automatic conversion to USDT through Rhino. The newer MAM guide separately describes USDC held as collateral.

Why it matters: These describe different flows. Verify the selected deposit preview and resulting asset; do not assume every USDC deposit stays USDC.

Which fee schedule applies?

The fee page contains dated schedules and separates spot from perps. Its March 2026 schedule uses 30-day trading-volume tiers and distinguishes maker rebates from taker charges.

Why it matters: Use the applicable product, current tier and executed order treatment. A maker rebate is not a guaranteed net profit or an all-in cost.

Can a single published withdrawal figure cover every route?

The fee-model page lists network-specific flat amounts. The dedicated transfer-fee article describes Rhino routes as a platform charge plus bridge gas.

Why it matters: The pages present route costs differently. Confirm the final withdrawal quote and route; DN has not reconciled a live transaction.

Does multi-asset collateral prevent liquidation?

The MAM guide describes automatic conversion or full liquidation when margin requirements are breached. Open-order cancellation should not be assumed to rescue margin first.

Why it matters: Collateral flexibility does not establish execution or liquidation safety. DN has not tested these paths.

Evidence boundary

No invented rates. No implied guarantees.

  • Current executable quotes and all-in holding costs
  • Independent fill, stop-loss and withdrawal reliability
  • Live signing permissions and revocation behaviour
  • Individual eligibility and current regional restrictions

No numerical all-in cost is calculated. A valid comparison needs contemporaneous quotes for matching assets, product modes, notional sizes, directions and holding periods, with entry, holding and exit costs included.
