DN Research Desk / Pilot enquiries

A specific question.
A source-linked research brief.

Research for your team. Get a documented platform comparison, an explanation of an instrument’s structure or a clearer view of missing evidence, with sources, dates and limitations made explicit.

Focused research. A defined deliverable.

For analysts, publishers, product teams and organisations working through complex documentation. These are starting formats for a discussion. We confirm feasibility, source access and capacity before accepting a commission.

Platform evidence comparison

Up to three named platforms, one product category and one defined research question.

Proposed output: A source-linked comparison of documented costs, collateral, access conditions and evidence gaps.

View a public comparison

Public work illustrates our approach; it is not a commissioned-client case study.

Instrument structure brief

One named tokenised instrument or benchmark and its documented structure.

Proposed output: An evidence brief mapping exposure, stated rights, redemption conditions and unresolved questions.

Explore instrument research

Public work illustrates our approach; it is not a commissioned-client case study.

Evidence-gap research pack

One research workflow, with the questions and document requirements agreed in advance.

Proposed output: A decision worksheet, source inventory and prioritised list of missing evidence for your team to follow up.

What your team could receive

A focused brief answers an agreed question and makes the reasoning reviewable. This example shows the structure of a deliverable; it does not report new findings about a platform.

Example question

“How do two named trading products document collateral, costs and access for our research use case?”

The research brief

  1. Answer first: the supported conclusion, its scope and the conditions that could change it.
  2. Comparison: the relevant product mode, network, collateral, documented costs and access conditions.
  3. Evidence register: source links, review dates and a distinction between documented claims and interpretation.

The handover

  1. Missing evidence: unresolved questions and sources that could not be verified.
  2. Research implications: which differences matter for the agreed question and what needs follow-up.
  3. Delivery record: version, research cut-off, limitations and agreed usage terms.

The conclusion may be that the evidence is insufficient. Documentation alone does not establish live execution, security or eligibility.

What an agreed brief includes

  1. A precise question, named subjects and defined research boundary.
  2. Dated source references, documented findings and explicit evidence gaps.
  3. A distinction between provider claims, DN interpretation and what has not been tested.
  4. A handover format, usage rights and correction process agreed in the scope.

How an enquiry becomes a project

  1. Send a short, non-confidential research question.
  2. We assess feasibility, source availability, conflicts and capacity.
  3. Agree the written scope, fee, payment terms and delivery date.
  4. Research begins only after acceptance of those terms.
Quoted per project.

No subscription or checkout is active. An enquiry creates no payment obligation or delivery commitment. Recurring work, additional revisions and updates require a separate agreement.

Research independence is part of the offer.

A commission pays for a defined research process and deliverable. It does not purchase a favourable finding, public ranking, endorsement or coverage. Relevant commercial interests and source limitations must be identified in the agreed work.

Documentation research does not establish security, legal compliance, investment suitability or operational reliability. Security audits, legal opinions, personalised investment recommendations and live execution testing are outside these pilot formats. We do not promise trading performance or access to restricted data.

Read DN’s disclosures and limitations

Start with the question.

Build a short enquiry below, or contact DN directly. Keep confidential information, credentials, wallet details and personal financial records out of this draft.

The builder keeps your draft entries in this tab and does not submit or save them. You can explicitly load existing saved claims from this browser; preparing or clearing an enquiry does not change those saves. Refreshing clears the draft. The site’s existing analytics and services remain subject to its privacy policy. To send an enquiry, copy the prepared text into the contact form and submit it there.

Start from your saved claims

Load saved research from this browser, then select up to five claims. Using selected claims replaces the draft’s subjects and evidence context and selects the evidence-gap format; your research question is kept. This reads your saved claims locally and does not send them to DN or add their identifiers to analytics.

Manage saved claims

Review the dates and limitations. Adding saved claims replaces this context and the subjects field, selects the evidence-gap format and preserves your research question.

Before you enquire

Can I use the public tools without paying?

Yes. Decision Briefs, Markets Research and their existing tools remain publicly accessible. This pilot is for a separately agreed research scope.

Will you recommend which asset I should buy?

No. These formats organise documented facts, assumptions and unresolved questions. They do not provide personalised investment advice.

Can I publish or redistribute the commissioned work?

Usage rights, attribution and any publication terms are agreed before work begins. Third-party source material remains subject to its owners’ rights.

Is the research continuously updated?

No. A deliverable reflects its stated research period. Follow-up reviews require an agreed scope; the public Change Watch records DN evidence publications rather than live provider changes.
