Valuation stress test
See how price changes translate into circulating market cap and fully diluted value. These are mechanical scenarios, not forecasts.
| Price move | Token price | Market cap | Fully diluted value |
|---|---|---|---|
| -50% | $1.25 | $1.25B | $2.50B |
| -25% | $1.875 | $1.88B | $3.75B |

DN valuation reality check
A target price of $10.00 implies a circulating market cap of $10.00B and a fully diluted value of $20.00B. Compare both figures with established assets, expected token unlocks and available liquidity before treating the target as credible.
How the calculations work
- • Market cap = price × circulating supply
- • Fully diluted value = price × maximum supply
- • Comparable price = comparison market cap ÷ circulating supply
- • Price multiple = target price ÷ current price
What market cap misses
- • Order-book depth and executable liquidity
- • Token unlock schedules and holder concentration
- • Protocol revenue, utility and governance rights
- • Smart-contract, custody and regulatory risk
Frequently asked questions
How is crypto market cap calculated?
Multiply the token price by its circulating supply. A $2 token with 500 million circulating tokens has a $1 billion market cap.
What is fully diluted valuation?
FDV estimates the valuation if the entered maximum or total supply were valued at the selected token price. It can expose dilution that circulating market cap alone hides.
Does the same market cap mean two tokens are equally valuable?
No. Market cap does not capture liquidity, unlocks, protocol economics, concentration, security or demand. Use it as one comparison measure, not a complete valuation.
